SLIIT the only institute in Sri Lanka to be accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) for its UGC approved IT degree, recently held the installation ceremony of office bearers for the first IET Student Chapter.

Held at the SLIIT campus in Malabe, this prestigious event was organized by the Information Systems Engineering Department and the SLIIT Faculty of Computing.
IET UK is one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community and IET accreditation, licensed by the Engineering Council, covers a broad spectrum of engineering and technology subjects.

IET has several well-established and active student chapters around the world. “By establishing a student chapter we are opening new doors for SLIIT students to be at the heart of the world’s pre-eminent knowledge sharing network for both engineering and technology professionals”, noted Professor Lalith Gamage, President and CEO of SLIIT.
