City Football League emerged champions of the first ever Korean/Sri Lanka Friendship U-19 Inter-League soccer championship when they defeated Negombo Football League by five goals to nil in the final,  played at CR & FC ground in Longdon Place, a few days ago.
Playing cohesive and fluent soccer, City Football League scored their first goal as early as in the seventh minute through HD Madusanka.

MA Akram scored their second goal in the 12th minute while M. Shaheel scored their third goal in the 22nd minute. Madusanka scored the fourth goal in the 41st minute to give his team a commanding 4-0 lead at half time.

It was only afterwards that Negombo Football League stepped up on their game. But they failed to penetrate the defence and convert their offensive moves in to goals.

City Football League finished off with another goal by M Shaheel, his second in the match, which came in the 82nd minute of play.

MNM Nuslan of Negombo FL and M Shaheel of City FL were shown yellow cards during the game.
