St. Anthony’s College Katugastota has done well during this rugby season. They made it to the second round of the League tournament and also qualified for the Milo Knock-out tournament. They lost to St. Peter’s College in the quarter-finals.
One of the players who stood out for St. Anthony’s is Samuel Kumar Maduwantha who scored 100 points. This marks the first occasion where a schoolboy from St. Anthony’s College Katugastota has amassed over 100 points at rugby during a single season.
Maduwantha was guided in his place kicking by former Sri Lanka player Nalaka Weerakkody. St. Anthony’s were coached this season by Viper Guneratne.
St. Anthony’s is grateful to inputs made to its rugby by the Technical Committee headed by Lasantha Wijesuriya.
