Why is Health Minister and Co-Cabinet Spokesman Dr Rajitha Senaratne
NOT talking about the corruption done by other government officials and politicians? One of the Muslim Minister who was a staunch supporter of Mahinda Rajapaksa government before the August 2015 presidential elections who had been summoned to the FCID and the Presidential Commission on Corruption on complaints made against this minister who is also a minister in this Yahapalana Government now, has evaded the inquiries/probe more than 10 times/occasions, it is rumoured in parliament circles. The other is a Muslim minister who has swindled large amounts of funds from the Ministry allocations totaling nearly Rs. 157 million, again rumoured in political circles, and is evading the FCID and other probes against him. The other is an Up-country politician who was a close ally of the last regime whose corruptions are swept under the carpet by the Yahapalana Government. If what these rumours are indicating is TRUE, these /politicians Ministers should have been brought before the “RULE OF LAW” and would have been sentenced to PRISON. But they are now in Parliament as MP’s and Ministers holding 2 important portfolios as stated by JVP’s Lal Kantha. Health Minister and Co-Cabinet Spokesman Dr Rajitha Senaratne should also tell the people, especially the Muslims about these politicians too and advice President Maithripala Sirisena and or PM Ranil Wickremesinghe to commence their probes immediately. Keeping these probes in suspension is also affecting the DIGNITY of the Muslim Community at large. It is also leading to demean the two Muslim ministers and make subject to lots of gossip, which may or may not be true. If the allegations/charges are TRUE, in this Holy Month of Ramadhan, both of them should confess their guilty and without evading inquiries/probes should set an example of being good Muslims without deceiving the Government and the Muslim Community and their constituent voters at large, Insha Allah. It is time up that a NEW POLITICAL FORCE that will be honest and sincere that will produce “CLEAN” and diligent Muslim Politicians to stand up and defend the Muslim Community politically and otherwise, especially from among the YOUTH, has to emerge from within the Sri Lanka Muslim Community to face any new election in the coming future, Insha Allah.
