Kalutara, the seaside town with a fascinating history, and Badulla, famous for picturesque Dunhinda Falls, were the locations AIA Sri Lanka chose recently for two extravaganzas that captured the hearts and minds of the residents. The array of interesting activities opened their eyes to the need to protect themselves and their loved ones and made them realize that a gap existed between the protection they have and the protection they actually need, especially when it comes to retirement, healthcare and well-being of the family.  AIA in Town attracted thousands of eager participants, especially young families in spite of inclement weather.

Little ones received free balloons and were able to play inside bouncing castles. Young people took pleasure in participating in cricket and football games while other youngsters concentrated on completing exciting puzzles.  Children who are planning to sit for the Year 5 scholarship were able to participate in a workshop that would help to improve their performance while adults were inspired to adopt healthy lifestyles.

“All in all it was an unforgettable experience for the people of Kalutara and Badulla and a great opportunity for us to get closer to them. Our initiative helped participants to understand the importance of planning for the future” commented Suren Perera, Head of Marketing at AIA Sri Lanka.
