The Norwegian Government has extended its support to promote resettlement process and to provide financial backing people to re-start livelihood activities of the war affected people in the North.

The pledge to assist the war affected in the North was made by the Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister, Tore Hattrem during his visit to Valalai, Jaffna today.

“It is very important for people to return to their original places and re- established their lives,” he said. “Therefore, the Norwegian Government has decided to financially support people to re-start the livelihood activities and promote the resettlement process.”
