The Interact Club of Ananda College has organised ‘Morning of Friendship’, an event which brings together Interactors from across the island will take place on June 3, at the Hilton in Colombo. This will be the 20th installation of the event. ‘Morning of Friendship’ is set to involve music and quizzing, among other activities, and is the first ball organised for the Interact Movement in the country. About 300 students from 45 schools island-wide are to participate.

The event has a colourful history behind it, with its founder being none other than Bathiya Jayakody, who was the president of the Interact Club of Ananda in his time. It has been recognised by the Interact Movement in the country, with its 11th, 14th, and 16th installations, winning Citation Awards for the Best Club Service Projects in 2004, 2007, and 2009 respectively. Originally founded as a platform to provide Interactors across the country with an opportunity to hobnob with each other, ‘Morning of Friendship’ has since developed and flourished.
