Bradby boys Royal experienced a scare in their inter-school under 20 rugby match against St. Joseph’s College and had to fight all the way to earn a face-saving 27 all draw (Pic by Venura Chandramalitha)

Wesley College managed to run riot against a hapless D.S.Senanayake College rugby team before beating them by 64 points to 12. At half time, Wesley led 40-7. Wesley scored a thumping 10 tries in the end.

Pathana beat Peter’s
Unbeaten Isipathana College beat St. Peters College by 36-21 after leading 17-5 at half time.

For Isipathana centre Sumudu Rankothge (Two), Flanker Weerathunga, number eight Weerasinghe, Ekanayaka and winger Chamod Fernando scored one try apiece. Fullback Wickramarathna put over three conversions.

Biyanwila, Ravin Yapa and Perera scored the tries for the Peterites. Fly half Sivaraj fired across two penalties.

S.Thomas’ edge out Trinity
S. Thomas’ College remained unbeaten this season and won a close game against Trinity College by 23 points to 20.

Tries were scored by their playmaker Naveen Henakankanamge (Two) and  Harith Senanayaka (One) while the conversion and penalty were put over by Ashwantha Herath. The drop goal was kicked right by Sarith Nanayakkara

For the Trinitians, tries were scored by Shalindra Alahakoon, Dliuksha Dange and Avishka Shiek. The conversions were taken by Thishila Perera together while the penalty was taken by Lashane Wijesuriya

Royal hold Joes
Royal College staged a spectacular in their match against St. Joseph’s College which helped earn a face-saving 27 all draw. Royal were trailing 24-10 at one stage of the game.

For St. Joseph’s fly half Chathura Senevirathne made three conversions and fired across a penalty and a drop goal). Captain Romesh Priyankara  (One), Devon Fernando (One), Malinda Pinthu  (One) scored the tries for Joes.

Royal’s tries were scored by prop Ayesh Maduranga (Two), Mohommad Nabeel (One) and Azmir Fajudeen (One) while fly half Ashok Wijekumar made two conversions and one penalty.

SACK  drub Rajans
St. Anthony’s College registerd their first victory for the season by beating home town rivals Darmaraja College Kandy by 36 points to 23. At half time the winners led 22 points to 8.
St. Anthony’s scored their tries through  Pasindu Dulshan, Dinesh Rodrigo and Mohommed Sabir, while the conversions and the penalties were put over by fly half and their hero Samuel Maduwantha.

For Dharmaraja, the try scorers were Chalindu Wijesinghe, Tharuka Galapitigedara and Tharaka de silva while the conversions and the penalties were fired across by Gihan Ishara.
Science thrash Kingswood
Science College ran circles around a hapless Kingswood College team before they recorded a 53 points to 05 win. At half time, Science College were
leading  22- 05.

The tries for Science College were scored by Janith Lakshana (Three), Janidu Fernando (One), Tharindu Maduranga (One), Nirosha Udayanga (One), Sashin Madushanka (One) and Sanjula Roshan(One) while the conversions and the penalty were taken by Vibuda Hasanja. The solitary try for Kingswood was scored by S.Ranaweera.
