A total of 21 soccer coaches participated at the AFC ‘C’ licence certificate coaching course that was held successfully at the National Football Training Centre in Baddagana. The course was conducted by Nader Arabi, an AFC instructor from Iran, from March 20 to April 2.

The participants, active coaches at Football clubs and schools, were recommended by the President of Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL), Secretary General and Technical Director of FFSL.
Dr. Lal Ekanayake, Referee Director of FFSL, and A.M. Yapa also made their contributions as instructors at the course. Ekanayake covered the lessons (parts) on Nutrition, Psychology, Physiology and Anatomy while A.M. Yapa shared the knowledge about “Laws of game”.

The AFC Instructor requested from the participants to use the knowledge gained at the course to develop football in Sri Lanka.
