Australian cricket team that is ranked number one in Tests and ODIs will make a tour of Sri Lanka after a lapse of five years to play three Tests, five ODIs and two T20s scheduled to begin in July.

Their tour will begin with the first Test to be played in Pallekelle on July 26. Their final match is a T20 game scheduled for September 9 in Colombo.

The Sri Lanka team will hopefully play with passion and determination after developing on their positives from their tour of England this summer. Playing on home soil and having the advantage Sri Lanka should look to re-establish themselves with some new faces in the team.

Australia have played 13 Tests in Sri Lanka, winning six, drawing six and losing one in 1999. They have also played 25 ODIs – winning 9 and losing 13. Just two T20s were played and Sri Lanka won both.     (TBR)
