Trinity College should not do the same mistake they did in the season opener against Wesley College. Trinity however won this match 7-5.
It was Wesley College who controlled the game till the last eight minutes and had all the chances of pocketing the game. However, they lacked the finishing touches needed to pull off a win.
Trinity won, thanks to the substitute fly half who changed the game with his thinking. Questions are raised as to why such a skilled player had to warm the bench as a reserve for most part of the game.
The only other team in Kandy which won their opener for the season like Trinity was St. Sylvester’s.
The Trinitians play their second game against St. Joseph’s on April 2 at Pallekelle.
