In the annals of our history, a group took the lives of students mercilessly. They went so far as to making the dead bodies disappear into thin air. Embilipitiya school students who were burnt alive still scream from their graves demanding justice.

This incident was spotlighted not only locally, but worldwide. A Supreme Court Judge was appointed for post investigations. International KSHAMA organization, United Nations Organization as well as Britain, America and the LTTE made announcements on this issue. The case was eventually taken up at the Ratnapura High Court. It involved the disappearance of thirty students of Embilipitiya Janadipathi Maha Vidyalaya. Waruna Priyankara’s book Andhonawa, written on the incident was launched recently.
