S.Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia’s dashing number eight Sachitha Jayathilake had to miss his team’s traditional rugby encounter against St. Joseph’s College on March 18 (Friday) because the authorities at the school by the sea wanted him to concentrate on representing the college’s cricket team against Royal in the 50 overs big match, scheduled for the following day.

The source, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that Sachitha was slated to captain his schools 1st XI cricket team in their annual limited overs big math against Royal and termed “Mustang Trophy”. This match will be played at R.Premadasa International stadium.

Sachitha is a gifted sportsman and has also represent the College in water polo and swimming.
