The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has appointed a nine member committee to discuss and formulate proposals for the ethnic questions and to commence talks with the Government on solving the issue.

The committee was appointed by TNA Parliamentary Group Leader and Opposition Leader, R. Sampanthan during the meeting of the coordinating committee of the alliance on March 6.

Accordingly, the committee comprises two members each from the four constituent parties of the TNA, said Sampanthan. During the meeting, the TNA also decided to present the proposals to the Government and hold discussions on the said proposals.
