The Ravana Balaya, Sihala Ravaya and the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) urged the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) to intervene to halt the forcible acquisition of land taking place in the North and East, especially in places like Kokilai.

How is it that Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mangala Samaraweera is bypassing President Maithripala Sirisena in matters of national security and stating that over 66,000 Military personnel (Army troops) will be removed? General Secretary of the Ravana Balaya, Ven. Iththekande Sadhdhathissa Thera queried.
The Indo-Sri Lanka Economy and Technology Cooperation Agreement would escalate into a dangerous situation involving Jaffna and Tamil Nadu in India, President of the Sihala Ravaya, Ven. Akmeemana Dayarathana Thera mentioned.
The Ravana Balaya, Sihala Ravaya and the BBS will form a national organization in order to create a force of the sangha at the village level, the trio elaborated.
“It seems that a federal solution has been promised to the Tamils prior to the toppling of the Government. What is the problem faced by the Tamils at present that warrants federalism being established here? The sheer size of the land as in the case of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics or the geography of a land as in the case of Switzerland which has a mountainous terrain or the presence of ethnic conflicts as in the case of India, may mean that a central government cannot govern the whole. This is not the case in Sri Lanka. What such a move will result in is separatism,” he added.
