Thailand Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today.

The Deputy Premier will be heading a 100 member delegation. Government sources revealed that they will prepare the background for the proposed official visit of President Maithripala Sirisena to Thailand in November.

The Thai delegation would include officials from various sectors including agriculture, fisheries, tourism, construction, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals.

The Deputy Prime Minister will meet Prime Minster Ranil Wickremesinghe, Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera, Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrama and many other officials from a number of ministries.
