The ‘Designer Wedding Show 2016’ was held for the seventh consecutive year, on February 23, at the Kingsbury Hotel’s Balmoral Ballroom.
The exclusive annual event showcased bridal designs of the top bridal designers, distinguished hair and makeup artists. The event was organised and presented by the Bride and Groom Wedding Magazine. The designs were not merely limited to bridal designs but also highlighted the trends among men’s wear. Both western gowns and suits along with traditional attire – the Kandyan, low country and Hindu wedding trends, were showcased.
The show featured designs of Dr. Anusha, Charith Wijesekera, Dhananjaya Bandara, Dr. Namal Balachandra, Michael Wijesuriya, Dr. Premsri Hewawasam, PVS Jayarathne, Raffealla Fernando, Ramzi Rahaman, Sumudu Wasantha, Thushara Soyza, Thusitha Ethugala, Yasisurie Kiribandara.
Pramith Mallawaratchie, CEO/Managing Editor of the Bride and Groom Magazine said, “The event this year was the best we have conducted so far with an excellent collection of very creative presentations. The event was coordinated by Rozanne Diasz. The Bride and Groom Magazine now also available in Australia, the UK and the Maldives, provides its readers with information on the latest design trends, wedding industry contacts as well as useful facts for the couple.
