The Sri Lanka Navy has suspended four Navy Sports Club (NSC) rugby players for wearing wristbands showing solidarity with former Captain of the NSC rugby team, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, who is presently in remand over allegations of money laundering.

The wristbands worn by those donning the blue jersey at the recent Dialog rugby league encounter in Diyagama between the NSC and the Army Sports Club, in which the Navy clinched a 32-30 victory, stated ‘YOO7’.

Navy Spokesman, Captain Akram Alavi said that the four players had been suspended from the team, adding that investigations were also in progress.
