CR&FC ran out worthy winners against Police SC when they scored a sensational 25 points (3 Tries, 2  conversions, 2 penalties ) to 5 ( 1 try ) victory in their Dialog ‘A’ Division Inter-club League Rugby  tournament second round match played on February 6  at Longden Place. The winners led 6 nil at half-time.

For CR&FC tries were scored by flanker Jason Dissanayaka, winger Sashan Mohmad and replacement fly half ex-Isipathana College and Sri Lanka under 20 player Rehan Silva while full back Prince Chamara converted two tries and fired across two penalties.

Scrum half Sudam Sooriarachchi scored the solitary try for the losers.

Referee – Priyantha Gunarathna had an excellent game with the whistle.

Kandy through

In other matches played on Saturday, favorites Kandy SC managed to scrape through against a fighting Army SC team by 19 points ( 3 tries, 2 conversions) to 9 ( 3 Penalties) in their match played at Ratmalana. Kandy led 12 nil at the breather.

Easy for Havies

Havelock SC routed CH&FC by 52 points (8 tries, 6 conversions) to 18 (2 tries, 1 conversion, 2 penalties) at Havelock Park. The winners were leading 45-6 at half-time.
