The Navy has recovered the bodies of five fishermen who were reported missing after their boat capsised due to a collision with a ship in the seas off Hikkaduwa yesterday.

Navy Spokesperson, Capt. Akram Alavi told the Nation that five navy personnel were deployed in two dvora vessels to search for the missing fishermen.

“Their bodies were found this afternoon, entangled in the fishing nets underwater. The bodies are being brought to Galle,” he said.
