The all-new Nissan NP300 Navara won the coveted International Pick-up Award 2016 at a ceremony in Lyon, France in November. The latest edition of the Navara fought off stiff competition from Mitsubishi and Ford to win the award, being judged on both off-road and on-road performance.
The all-new Nissan NP300 Navara was put through a rigorous International Pick-up testing process and won this award due to its competency as a workhorse and superior capability in towing while giving customers high value for money.
Combining crossover-inspired comfort and refinement while maintaining its acclaimed off-road capability, durability and load capacity, the all-new NP300 Navara introduces new features including a more robust chassis, a five-link rear suspension for the Dual Cab pick-up models and an impressive load bed, which is 67mm longer than the previous.
Speaking at the ceremony, Philippe Guérin-Boutaud, Corporate Vice President Nissan LCV BU, said: “This prestigious award celebrates Nissan’s 80 years of pick-up expertise. Rigorous testing by International Pick-up of the Year illuminated the tough and innovative character of the all-new Navara.”
Best known in Europe as the maker of capable 4x4s and breakthrough crossovers, the new Nissan Navara represents a fusion of excellence delivering a truly breakthrough pickup truck that combines rugged 4×4 toughness with the sophistication and efficiency of a crossover.
