Former Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nalaka Godahewa was granted bail along with two others today by the Colombo High Court.

They were released on a cash bail of Rs.500,000 and two personal bails of Rs.5 million each.

Godahewa was arrested by the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) on December 7 when he arrived to make a statement on allegations of financial irregularities said to have taken place at the SEC when he was the chairman.
