Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has suspended Fast Bowling Coach Anusha Samaranayake and New Bowler Gayan Wishwajith with immediate effect over allegations they had approached cricketers from the national team to fix matches.

The two have been subjected to scrutiny ever since it was disclosed that national team cricketers Rangana Herath and Kusal Janith Perera had reported an alleged approach by bookies in the lead-up to the Test match against West Indies in Galle, last year.

Samaranayake and Wishwajith are subject to an investigation after claims emerged of them having links with book-makers. They will remain suspended until the inquiry initiated by SLC is concluded.
