In a fresh effort aimed at empowering the Small and Medium practitioners and enterprises in the South Asian region, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka together with the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), has organized a regional SMP Forum to help educate Small and Medium Practitioners (SMPs) leverage from future growth opportunities.

The CA Sri Lanka–IFAC–SAFA Forum which will be held on January 26, 2015 at the Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo, will be boosted with a line-up of high profile international and regional subject experts, who will steer the forum and share important insights on pertinent areas which are related to the development and growth of SMPs both in Sri Lanka as well as other parts of the South Asian region.

The international line-up of speakers includes Chairman of the IFAC SMP Committee Giancarlo Attolini, President of the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (EFAA) Bodo Richardt, and President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Manoj Fadnis, who is also the Deputy President of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA). They will be further complemented with a host of other foreign and local speakers and facilitators from across the globe including South Asia.
