Enrique Iglesias during his concert in Colombo

The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) today blacklisted Live Events, the entertainment company responsible for organizing the recent concert of Latin American Singer Enrique Iglesias concert held at the CR&FC Grounds.

Addressing a media briefing, Colombo Mayor A.J.M. Muzammil said the decision to blacklist the company was made over non-payment of Rs.29 million in taxes owed by the company to the CMC.

The move means that Live Events would not be allowed to organize any future event within the limits of the Colombo Municipality.

Former Sri Lanka cricketers Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene are two main shareholders of Live Events and are on its Board of Directors.
