Sri Lanka’s three-months Treasury bill yield advanced by 18 basis points (bps) to 6.28% while 6 months yield increased by 19bps to 6.54% at the weekly treasury bill market auction held today. Accordingly, one year Treasury bill rate inclined from 6.92% to 7.01% (+9bps).

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) offered Rs. 20bn worth of Treasury bills today and the auction was oversubscribed by 2.2 times with bids received amounting to Rs. 44.5bn. The CBSL decided to accept Rs. 15.8 billion worth of bills.
