Dialog Inter-club League Rugby Tournament

Havelocks Sports Club made a remarkable second half rally to beat Police Sports Club 28-19 in the curtain raiser of the Dialog Inter-club League Rugby Tournament at Havelock Park under lights on Friday (November 20).

The winners found their rhythm after ‘lemons’ and built on their second half score (13-9 in favor of Havies) to finish with three tries, two conversions and three penalties.

Police could gather only three penalties in the first half, but their efforts brought them a try, a conversion and a penalty after the turn around. The match was refereed by Irshad Carder.

Navy win 38-8

In the other matches of the tournament played at Welisara yesterday, Navy Sports Club beat Air Force by 38 points to 8. Navy collected their points through seven tries and a penalty while Air Force earned their points through a penalty and a try.
