Police SC will come out for the first time this season against Havelocks Sports Club on November 20 at Havelock Park

Police Sports Club, once a dominant force in local rugby arena in the 80s and early 90s, is out to redeem its lost prestige with the inclusion of some top rated rugby players when the inter-club league season for 2015/16 kicks off.

Players in the caliber of former CR & FC/ Havies prop Terence Henry, CH & FC/Kandy SC Hooker Achala Perera, Havies/CH & FC/CR & FC/Upcountry Lions/Navy SC Flanker Sharo Fernando, CH & FC/CR & FC/ Navy Sc Number eight Billal Hassan, CR & FC/Havies/Navy Sc winger Chamara Dabare, CR & FC/Navy SC Full back Reeza Mubarak, Navy SC/Army SC Scrum half Mohamad Abzal and ex Kingswood captain cum Sri Lanka sevens winger Reeza Rafaideen will turn out for Police SC this season.

There’s speculation that former CR & FC/Havies fly half Niroshan Fernando will play for Police SC this season.

Former Sri Lankan double international and ex-Police rugby captain Hafeel Marso is the head of Police rugby this season. He has taken great pains to mould this group of players to be a formidable outfit this season.

Police SC will come out for the first time this season against Havelocks Sports Club on November 20 (Friday) at 6.30pm under lights at Havelock Park.
