West Indies lost six wickets for 86 runs in the afternoon session to be disappointingly dismissed for 163 in reply to Sri Lanka’s first innings of 200 by tea on the second day of the second Test played at the P Sara Oval.

If Dhammika Prasad made early inroads into the West Indies top order batting in the first session it was the Lankan spinners who came to the forefront in the afternoon.

Off-spinner Dilruwan Perera claimed the last three wickets in his final spell of 6.2 overs where he conceded 20 runs.

He sent back Jason Holder for 21, and Jerome Taylor and Jomel Warrican for one apiece to end with figures of 3 for 28.

The other three wickets were shared by spinners Milinda Siriwardana who accounted for top scorer Kraigg Brathwaite for 47 and Rangana Herath who dismissed Denesh Ramdin for 14.

Prasad picked up Jason Blackwood’s wicket for 16 to end with figures of four for 34, while Siriwardana ended with 2 for 26.
