Southern Province team celebrate on the podium

Southern Province registered an impressive win by nine wickets over North Central Province in the final to clinch the ‘Prima Champions Trophy’ in the under-15 inter-provincial tournament played at Colts ground on October 7.

North Central Province chose to bat first put up a pathetic display and were bowled out for 88 runs in 45.5 overs.

Keshara Nuwantha captured three for 11 runs and Dilum Sudeera claimed two wickets for 16 runs to do the damage.

Southern Province batsmen played patiently to reply with 93 runs for just one wicket off 26.3 overs.

Vinura Dulsara scored 31 runs off 56 deliveries and had five boundaries.
