A captain’s knock of 184 not out by Charith Asalanka for Sri Lanka against Pakistan in first under 19 test at Hambantota.

Sri Lanka under 19 captain Charith Asalanka hit a career best 184 not out to steer his team to an impressive first day total of 330 for seven wickets in the first under 19 test against Pakistan under 19 at Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium Hambantota.

Asalanka came to the wicket in the second over of the innings when opener Ushan Pereira was out for a second ball duck and batted throughout the rest of the day to hit 25 fours in his 257-ball innings.

He shared a 102-run partnership with wicket-keeper Randika de Silva who made 36. Shadab Khan was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers finishing with four wickets for 87.
