Sri Lankan Natasha Perera, an alumna California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) has been appointed Fall Preseason Coach of CSUF for 2015. It is the first time that a Lankan female has been so honoured.

Natasaha has been involved in the rugby community for 15 years. She has a degree in Communications, with a concentration in Entertainment Studies, and brings a wealth of knowledge from experience in playing, coaching and sports marketing, including work with Atavus Rugby and the Fullerton Rugby International Invitational.

Natasha played for Fullerton Rugby for ten years, the Southern California Griffin All Stars for six, and CSU Fullerton, where she was MVP and captain, for three. She added international play to her rugby resume when she captained a Griffins touring side to Sri Lanka in 2010. In 2011, she was honored by the City of Fullerton for being the longest playing female youth rugby player in the nation.

Natasha has coached rugby for more than four years, including U10 contact, U12 contact, high school girls, and U19 North Orange County regional all stars. Additionally, she began working as a coaching assistant for the Southern California Griffin All Stars in summer 2015.
