Former Sri Lanka fast bowler Nuwan Zoysa has been appointed to the National Fast Bowling Coaching Department.

“Zoysa has worked in India with Goa Cricket Association and with Royal College and NCC as their fast bowling coach before joining SLC on a one-year contract beginning October 1,” states a Sri Lanka Cricket media release.

A tall left-arm fast bowler Zoysa took 64 Test and 108 ODI wickets for Sri Lanka in a career spanning ten years.

In only his eighth Test Zoysa achieved the rare feat of claiming a hat-trick off his first over of the match, against Zimbabwe at Harare in 1999.
