The Royal College, Colombo Rugby team will battle it out for supremacy with the Thailand national under 20 Rugby team today at the Thai national stadium to mark the 60th year anniversary of friendship between the two countries Thailand and Sri Lanka.

Royal College who emerged as the 2015 unbeaten inter schools under 20 League rugby champions in Sri Lanka, will be led by that dashing centre three quarter Bhanuka Gamage. Royal have the luxury of retaining almost the entire squad which represented them this year in the inter-school season except their second row forward Chandula Jayasundara, who is presently away in the USA for higher studies.

The entire rugby squad and the officials of Royal College had left for Thailand last week to take part in this heritage rugby match, where they will most probably will play under the national under 20 rugby jerseys.

The man to watch out from the Royal College outfit is their unsung hero and play maker – number eight Supun Warnakulasuriya, who is the pilot of their famous rolling maul which resulted in him becoming the highest try scorer in this year’s inter school rugby league. Incidentally, in the upcoming inter-club rugby season Supun is due to represent the famous local rugby club CR and FC.
