Over 6000 athletes are expected to participate at the Ritzbury sponsored Sir John Tarbat Schools Junior Athletic Championship to be held at the public ground in Anuradhapura from 15th to 19th September.

Ritzbury launched their website, www.ritzburyjohntarbat.lk, in 2014 where the highlights and records of the previous meets have been communicated. The website will also feature the latest updates of the winners and results of the upcoming events.

The meet will be conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Athletic Association with Ceylon Biscuits Limited coming in to sponsor the event once again.

“We are pleased to sponsor the prestigious Sir John Tarbat School Junior Athletic Championships once again as it is considered to be one of the oldest school’s athletic events in the country. Ritzbury has always been an ardent supporter of sports and the brand will promise to continue its association to sports in the future,” said Theja Peiris the General Manager, Marketing of CBL.

“Uplifting school athletics is one of our main priorities at SLSAA and we wouldn’t have been able to carry out this event without the support of CBL. Ritzbury has been supporting the Sir John Tarbat School Junior Athletic Championships for the past three years and we look forward to their never failing support in the years to come,” said N.A.D.R. Hemantha, President of Sri Lanka Schools Athletic Association (SLSAA).
