The Sri Lanka Planetarium, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Technology, Technical Education and Employment, has been reopened to the public after undergoing renovations. The Planetarium was opened for shows from September 5.
Issuing a statement, the Ministry of Technology, Technical Education and Employment said the Planetarium, which is committed to promoting science and technology as well as improving children’s knowledge of astronomy, has a seating capacity for 510 persons.
The Planetarium will conduct shows for school students from Tuesday through Friday from 10.00pm to 2.00pm daily. Shows for members of the public will be held on Saturdays from 10.00am to 2.00pm.
The Planetarium is closed on Sunday, Monday and all government holidays.
