The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Sri Lanka (FCCISL) in collaboration with the SAARC -Trade Promotion Network and Pakistan Sri Lanka Business Council of Karachi of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry is organizing the Sri Lanka Pakistan Trade and Investment Forum with the view to enhance the trade and investment between two countries. The event will be held on August 31 at 5.00 in Colombo.
This event is endorsed by Board of Investment, Export Development Board, and Department of Commerce. The High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Pakistan Friendship Association, Sri Lanka Pakistan Business Council, and National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka will be the partners.
The Minister of Finance will attend as the chief guest to the event. High Commissioner Major General (R) Syed Shakeel Hussain and Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Dr. Sarfraz Ahmed Khan Sipra will attend as the guest of honor.
Twenty businessmen and entrepreneurs from Pakistan with the patronage of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad and forty selected Sri Lankan businessmen will attend the event. The forum will include a panel discussion on Sri Lanka Pakistan FTA and will end up with networking and cocktails for the evening.
Focus areas for this meet will be equity trading ,securities, investment, finance and real estate marketing, cement, synthetic rubbers, raw materials used in rubber and plastic industry for tire and footwear, travels, oil, gas, petroleum products, minerals, sugar, rice and agro products, hotels and restaurants.
