Newly elected MP Dr. Harsha de Silva sits inside a fully-equipped ambulance which was brought down to the country through an agreement reached with India recently.

Dr. de Silva in his social networking page said the first phase of the Emergency Medical Care project would commence in the Western and Southern Provinces on January 1, 2016 and added that 600 persons including paramedics will also be hired and trained in India to be part of this project. The ambulances are temporarily housed in Rajagiriya until a new facility is built in Kotte.
