Kusal Perera was included in the Sri Lanka eleven and will make his Test debut for the decisive third and final Test against India at the SSC grounds.
Perera 25 will take over the wicket-keeping gloves from Dinesh Chandimal who kept in the first two Tests. Chandimal will play in the team as a top order batsman.
Sri Lanka also made two other changes replacing Kumar Sangakkara (retired) and fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera with Upul Tharanga and Nuwan Pradeep.
India made two changes with injured opener Murali Vijay and wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha being replaced by Cheteswar Pujara and wicket-keeper Naman Ojha who will make his Test debut at the age of 32.
The three-match series is level at one-all.
