Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has asked the international community to take notice of the cancellation of talks by India with Pakistan. In an interview, he said Kashmir is part of all outstanding issues between Pakistan and India.
Sartaj Aziz said terrorism, which India has been stressing, is included in the eight-point composite dialogue process. He said if Kashmir is not an issue then why seven hundred thousand Indian forces have been deployed in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The National Security Adviser said Pakistan is an atomic power and has the capability to defend its territory. Earlier, Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said India has once again sabotaged talks with Pakistan by imposing preconditions.
Talking to APP, he said Pakistan is serious for talks as it is the only way to settle disputes. However, pre-conditions for resuming the dialogue process are not acceptable. The Defence Minister said the negative attitude of Modi government is disrupting peace process and fanning tensions in the region to fulfill its nefarious designs.
At the same time, Khawaja Asif said, India is also attempting to weaken Pakistan economically, as is evident from its strong opposition to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. About India’s unprovoked firing on Line of Control and Working Boundary, the Defence Minister said Modi government underestimates Pakistan and emphatically said that our armed forces are fully capable to protect the motherland.
He said India is backing terrorists in Pakistan but the Pakistan Army with the support of masses is purging the country of terrorists. The Defence Minister said that Zarb-e-Azb operation is going on successfully and will continue till elimination of all terrorists. (PBC)
