Angelo Mathews celebrates the wicket of Ravichandran Ashwin on the second morning of the second Test at P Sara Oval.

Wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha scored his second consecutive fifty of the series as India progressed towards a total in excess of 400 on the second day of the second Test against Sri Lanka at the P Sara Oval.

Saha who was unbeaten on 19 took his overnight score to 56 not out off 114 balls at lunch as he frustrated the Lankan bowlers. India went to lunch on 386 for eight wickets.

Sri Lanka managed to prize out two wickets in a morning session that saw India slowing clawing their way back after losing Rohit Sharma to the final over of the previous day.

Angelo Mathews struck in the third over of the morning getting rid of Ravichandran Ashwin caught at short extra cover for two.

Dushmantha Chameera followed his captain by dismissing Amit Mishra for 24 but not before he had helped Saha in a useful stand of 46 off 97 balls.

Ishant Sharma was unbeaten on two at the break.
