The body of former Sri Lanka Rugby player Wasim Thajudeen, who was said to have been killed in a car accident was exhumed this morning in Dehiwala under tight security

Last week, the Colombo Additional Magistrate granted a request by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to exhume Thajudeen’s body in order to conduct further inquires into his death.

This follows the CID informing court that there was evidence to suggest that Thajudeen was killed prior to the ‘accident’ involving his motor car.
