The Sri Lanka under-16 football team left the island on Thursday to Bangladesh to participate at the South Asian Football Association Championship to be played from 9th to 18th August at the Banga Bandu Stadium in Dhaka.

The team is led by M.A.M. Afran while his deputy will be M.B.M. Murshith. These boys will be under the guidance of Japanese coach Suzuki Chikashi while the local coach is N.S.M.H. Roomy.
