The 2015 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination commenced today. According to the Department of Examinations, 309,069 candidates will sit for this year’s examination.

This includes 236,072 school candidates and 72,997 private candidates. The examination will be held at 2180 examination centers islandwide.

This year’s A/L examination will be held in two stages as it will be interrupted by the 2015 General Election. The election will be held on August 17.

Therefore, the first stage of the A/Level examination will be held August 4 to August 13. The exam will recommence on August 24 and will continue till September 8.
