Sri Lanka Cricket interim committee chairman Sidath Wettimuny donates a cheque for Rs. One million to President Maithripala Sirisena prior to the commencement of the second T20 international between Sri Lanka and Pakistan at the R Premadasa Stadium, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Muthiah Muralitharan who were appointed brand ambassadors of the President’s National Kidney Fund are also present.

President Maithripala Sirisena officially appointed veteran cricketers Muthiah Muralitharan and Tillakaratne Dilshan as brand ambassadors of the National Kidney Fund which was established in line with the sustainable program to control kidney disease – a concept of the President.

The appointments were made before the start of the second Twenty20 international between Sri Lanka and Pakistan at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

President Sirisena also cordially welcomed the cricketers of both teams.

Sri Lanka Cricket interim committee chairman Sidath Wettimuny presented a cheque for Rs. one million to the Kind Project (National Kidney Fund) to the President.

President Sirisena also inscribed a message in a souvenir to mark this occasion and thereafter joined the audience to watch the match.

Secretary to the President PB Abeykoon also was present at the occasion.
