Former Kandy Sports Club, CR and FC and Sri Lanka ruggerite M. Jabar, who was the coach at his school Kingswood College last season wants to stop coaching at his school as he is not happy. He may get a break to coach another school.

Kandy SC to tour overseas
For the first time in history of Kandy SC, they will be talking part in the first ever Asian Rugby Western Club competition which will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in September.

According to Lasantha Wijesuriya the Chairman of Kandy SC, four rugby teams are expected to take part in the one week competition, which is sure to produce top class rugby. Kandy SC will select their team after the inter club sevens.

Two athletes from Greenhill International School’ performed extremely well at the Central Province Athletic meet organized by the Education department and held at the Bogambara Stadium. They are Shahid Ahamath and Zaid Hamza who honour to the school.
Shahid Ahamath was placed 1st in U-17 (Boys) Long Jump event and Zaid Hamza placed 1st in U-15 (Boys) Shot Put event and 3rd in the Discus Throw event respectively.

The Fourth Sharp Shooting Competition organized by the Hill Country Sports Shooting Club will end today 1st August. Over 150 shooters male and female were seen in action. The participants were from the armed forces and civilians.
