Postal voting ballots will be delivered to postal voting centers on July 24, Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya stated.

Speaking at a media briefing held at the Elections Secretariat on July 16 (Thursday), Deshapriya said they had requested the Department of Government Printing to finish printing the postal voting ballots by July 23. He thanked the employees of the Department of Government Printing for working around the clock in order to ensure that the ballot papers were printed on time.

The Elections Commissioner also revealed that the Elections Department had received over 525,000 applications for postal voting.
