Former Sri Lanka Test wicket-keeper Lanka de Silva has been appointed as head coach of the Sri Lanka Women’s cricket.
De Silva replaces Jeevantha Kulatunga whose contract was not renewed when it expired after two years.
De Silva, a wicket-keeper and right-hand bat played three Tests on the tour to India in 1997 and also 11 ODIs.
He is one of the few players to score over 10,000 runs in first-class cricket.
Sri Lanka Cricket also announced that Ms Neha Karnik from India has been appointed physiotherapist of the team.
