Three finals in the Masters Inter-School Basketball Tournament will be worked out at the Depot Police Basketball Court on Saturday 11th July from 4 pm onwards.

This tournament is conducted by the Masters Basketball – Sri Lanka .The teams in the finals are: Mens over 40 years will be fought by Old Boys of Dharmasoka (Sokaians – Ambalangoda) and St. Sebastian (Sebastians – Moratuwa) at 4 pm followed by the Women over 28 years played between Old Girls of Presbyterian (Mount Lavania) and St. Joseph’s (Nugegoda) at 5 pm.

The last game of the day will be worked out at 6 pm for the Men over 35 years between the old boys of St. Benedict’s Kotahena and Anthonian’s -Wattala.

Holy Family Convent beat Our Lady of Victories
Holy Family Convent (Bambalapitiya) beat Our Lady of Victories (Moratuwa) by 10 points in the women’s over 35 years finals at the Masters Inter- School Basketball Tournament played during the weekend at the Depot Police Basketball Court, organized and conducted by Masters Basketball – Sri Lanka.

Scores are; HFC (B).32 points and OVL (M) 22 points at the final whistle and the half time scores were HFC (B) 9 points and OLV (M). 13 points.

Shevonne Perera.(16) and Beverly Wijesooriya.(10) scored for the winners while Savithri Perera and Premesha Fernando scored 10 points each for the losers.

Patans beat Peterites
Patans (Isipathana) beat Peterites (St. Peters) by 24 points to 20 points at the final whistle after the losers were leading by 13 points to 8 points at half time in the Men’s over-50 years Masters Inter-School Basketball Tournament played during the weekend at the Depot Police Basketball Court, organized and conducted by Masters Basketball – Sri Lanka.

Chief scorers were: Jayantha Ranawanna and T.M. Amath 10 points each for the winners while Nimal Jayasuriya and Kevin Edward scored 10 each for the losers.
