PALLEKELE: Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss for the third successive time in the series and chose to field first on the opening day of the third and final Test against Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Stadium.
Both teams made four changes apiece. Sri Lanka included batsmen Upul Tharanga and Jehan Mubarak and fast bowlers Suranga Lakmal and Nuwan Pradeep. They replaced Kumar Sangakkara, Kithuruwan Vithanage, Dushmantha Chameera and Rangana Herath.
Mubarak is making a comeback to Test cricket after eight years. He last played against England in December 2007.
Pakistan included batsman Shan Masood and fast bowlers Imran Khan, Ehsan Adil and Rahat Ali ahead of Mohammad Hafeez, Junaid Khan, Wahab Riaz and Zulfiqar Babar.
Both sides went with three seamers and one spinner in this series deciding match.
